Carbon fibers in the lower weave make the board stronger and more lively. The carbon fibers' tensile strength allows very short reflex times. High-quality Völkl Carbon also incorporates lengthwise fiberglass strips. This weave considerably enhances the board's torsion, pop and liveliness. Depending on the required riding characteristics and the amount of carbon, Völkl has developed four different POP Carbon inlays. POP 1.0: two short V-shaped stripes each in nose and tail.
