Custom Weave – Basalt

The CUSTOM WEAVE – BASALT glass configuration consists of perimeter-weighted fiberglass placed on both the base and topside of the core with an exclusive epoxy resin system. This glass configuration borrowed from the marine industry yields stronger, stiffer qualities allowing us to decrease the wood core thickness. This means you get a lighter board while achieving higher energy return. For the 10 Year Anniversary Black Snowboard of Death we've added basalt wings from inserts to contact points for retained power and pop. Originating from solidified volcanic lava, basalt is an abundant resource long known for it's thermal properties, strength, and durability.
