Comments
Bought this board because of a 50% Salomon discount * 7% fidelity card discount. So it was about 285 euro ($375). I'm beginner in snowboarding, I learned on a classic cambered $100 board and all I could do was carving and riding pow. The Salomon Official board I bought is a 158cm, I weight 92 kg, a little over the max recommended weight for this size. I've set the bindings in freestyle position, wide stance, +15&-15. The first thing I've noticed about the board is how forgiving it was. On the classical board I was getting catapulted every time I did the slightest mistake. With the Official, you have enough time to correct things and avoid falling. The board is very fun to ride and although it's a pro freestyle board it carves quite nice, stays nicely on edges when steering, adjusts the radius and does anything a slope intermediate rider can wish for. Although it's a directional board it allowed me to learn riding switch and now I can do all kind of non jumping spinnings I've been complimented for, they just stop to look at me, and still I only went with snowboard maybe 15 days all my life. So, the board is a confidence builder, might be a pro board but also works beautifully for beginners and intermediates as it's very forgiving and allows instant progress. I love it and I'm very happy I bought it!
